The Ocean

April 12, 2010

I’m thankful to live so near the ocean I can visit it every day if I want. There is something special about being there. As soon as I smell the salt air, my senses all come alive, but my body starts to calm down.

I feel relaxed and awed when I’m near the ocean. It is truly a breath-taking site. It is an enormous beauty. Before having children, I used to scuba dive. I remember how amazing it felt to breath under the water and see the gorgeous plant life and animals. I hope to start diving, again, with my sons when they are old enough to try it.

I’m lucky to have a family that enjoys the ocean as much as I do.

LOVE this photo Lori!!! I too love the ocean. It’s the first place I go when I need to *center* myself. I need to do a grateful entry about West Cliff Drive, cuz that’s where I go when I need to feed my soul. Thanks for the reminder!

I just stumbled upon your blog. Gratitude is a great topic to write on. Helps for us to appreciate life. I’m an American missionary living in Ukraine. One of the scrapbook classes I teach is “365 Days of Gratefulness.” Thanks for being a good example. Blessings on your day.
